Lynx Studio Technology Hilo 2 Overview

The Lynx Studio Technology Hilo 2 Reference AD/DA Converter with Thunderbolt 3 is designed for professionals who require the highest audio quality for mixing, mastering, or location sound. A true all-in-one device, Hilo 2 features two channels of superior AD conversion, up to six channels of DA conversion, a secondary monitor output, and a world-class independent headphone amplifier, all within a compact half-rack size.

Hilo 2 offers a variety of digital I/O options, including stereo AES/EBU, stereo coaxial S/PDIF, and stereo optical S/PDIF (switchable to 8-channel ADAT). Built-in metering and analysis, and hyperflexible routing and monitoring control are all easily accessed, saved, and recalled via the large, color touchscreen. This version of the Hilo 2 includes a preinstalled LT-TB3 Thunderbolt 3 LSlot interface card.

Lynx LT-TB3 LSlot Thunderbolt 3 Interface

• The LT-TB3 is a two-port Thunderbolt 3 expansion card that supports daisy-chaining Aurora(n) and Hilo converters for up to six total certified Thunderbolt devices plus a display on both Mac and Windows computers

• Hilo displays real-time, accurate metering and analysis
• Dual horizontal, VU analog, all I/O and spectrum analysis cover all tasks

Flexible Routing

• Route anything, anywhere. Set independent input levels, channel modes, and mute states for each output. Then set unique level offsets for each output

Monitoring

• One-to-one monitoring. Independently level-match your 4x4 selected sources, then globally control with the master volume

Settings

• No need for extra computer software, change any setting directly on Hilo, such as sample rate, clock source, or trims

Hilo Remote App

• Hilo Remote is a free Windows/Mac application from Lynx that allows extensive control, monitoring, and visual reference when using Hilo 2
• Hilo Remote on the iPad can operate in œ wired mode to a Hilo USB using the appropriate Apple Camera Kit (available separately) or by Wi-Fi to a Hilo USB or Hilo Thunderbolt connected to your computer using LynxRedirector, a free application available from Lynx
