Works great, just as described from the manufacturer. I got this to simplify my live keyboard rig. I am able to connect two midi keyboards as inputs to my DAW from one cable. I didn't need midi out as I trigger VST synths from my laptop DAW but it's nice to know I can use either as an in or out and it senses and configures itself auto-magically. I liked it so much I ordered another one.

Bought this after a Legacy Extension caused the Roland UM-One mk2 to stop working with macOS for connecting my Strymon pedals to my computer for the Nixie software editor. Not only is this cable class compliant (no drivers or legacy extensions), but it also isn't classified to specific MIDI IN or OUT ends--it will auto-detect whatever you plug them into. It's the first time I've ever plugged in both Strymons and it just worked and connected with no prompting or cable swapping. LOVE this cable and its convenience and quality. Highly recommend.

This cable is amazing. I have some great USB gear whose drivers are no longer supported. Attached them to this cable which Windows automatically recognized and they were back in full two-way function. The motorized sliders on my SAC controller went right into action. (I haven't been able to use it in years for mixing and automation). My UC-33e is back, which is essential for scoring because the sliders are nice and long and silky smooth. The best investment to bring .2000 worth of gear out of the graveyard.

I needed a new USB to Midi interface for my Casio 61. This not only works very well, but eliminates the box in the middle that you find on most adapters. There is no worry about polarity, since it is auto sensing, and a compact design. Would highly recommend.

Works exactly as advertised. No need to worry about MIDI IN vs OUT. No need for drivers. Works perfectly with MuseScore on both MacOS and Windows for driving my PianoDisc system.

This might be the perfect USB MIDI cable. Highly recommended and well worth the money. Most of those cheap commodity USB MIDI interface cables you see elsewhere fail to pass large SysEx messages (and, by large, some can't even handle messages more than 100 bytes or so without truncation/corruption, or even failing to send at all). As SysEx was important to me (and not to mention a standard feature of MIDI that any interface should be able to handle) I did some extensive loopback testing with this interface... It passed every single SysEx message without error from 2 bytes up to 20K (and I have no doubt it could handle any size). Other pros for me about this cable include compact, solid construction, no MIDI wart box in the middle, and the clever auto-detect feature where either MIDI port can function a MIDI IN or MIDI OUT depending what you plug it into. Just plug it in and it figures it out, now that's cool! The materials are high quality (fabric covered leads) and this 6 foot length (each MIDI port has its own, full-length lead!) is generous and practical. Highly recommended!

Just plug and play on my old iMac running 10.15.7. If you need a good midi cable for older gear and don't want mess around with bulk of your MOTU interface - go with this.
