The 5.9 ESI MIDIMATE eX is a MIDI-interface cable that allows your Mac OS X or Windows computer to communicate with various MIDI-equipped devices such as keyboards, drum machines, sound modules, effect processors, and more.

The MIDIMATE eX is terminated with two MIDI connectors on one end and a USB Type-A connector on the other. The interface supports up to 32 input or 32 output channels with each MIDI connector working as an independent input or output. The unit provides a low-latency connection optimized for USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports. It is USB bus-powered and requires no external power supply to operate.
