Arturia 1090-78 Overview
The Arturia Rev SPRING-636 virtual reverb plug-in recreates the famed classic Grampian 636 spring reverb, the go-to reverb of The Who's Pete Townshend and legendary dub producer Lee Scratch Perry and a cornerstone of reggae and ska music. Modernized with creative and advanced new features for today's music maker, the Rev SPRING-636 offers 8 swappable spring tanks, 2 preamp types, predelay, prefiltering, and a post-reverb 3-band EQ. The software is compatible with Mac and Windows. It operates within your DAW on the AU, VST2, VST3, NKS, and AAX Native platforms.
Vibrant, Slappy, Squelchy Grampian 636 Spring Reverb
- There are 8 different spring tanks to choose from, all taken from stage to studio classics and from modern tanks to rare vintage units.
- Dial in the exact reverb length, width, and the dry-wet signal on the fly.
- Push the two recreated germanium preamps to add some of the filthiest, fuzziest distortion you've ever heard.
- Arturia's proprietary TAE (True Analog Emulation) technology handles the electronic side, analyzing and accurately modeling the way the circuitry works and how it responds to various audio signals.
- Phi technology accurately emulates the physical characteristics of acoustic reverbs, right down to the springs and pickups.
Added FX for the Modern Producer
- Predelay and Prefilter: Delay how quickly the reverb starts, and carve out exactly the part of your signal you want to hit the reverb
- Post-EQ: A 3-band EQ lets you get things sounding just the way you want, right inside the plug-in
- Input-Output gain link switch
- Comprehensive set of presets
- Resizable GUI
- Integrated in-app tutorials guide you through every aspect of the instrument
