Vienna Symphonic Library Big Bang Orchestra: Andromeda Tutti Essentials is a virtual instrument based around samples of a massive full orchestra. The instrument offers all the articulations from the free version of the Big Bang Orchestra, but expands it with 10x more content including uniquely recorded sections that offer greater expressiveness and sonic flexibility, along with additional articulations that include muted playing techniques. The software is compatible with Mac and Windows and operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats. Andromeda integrates perfectly with every module in the BBO series.

Tonal Flexibility

• To give you more freedom to modify your overall orchestra sound, the close mic positions of low strings, high strings, woodwinds, horns, trumpets and low brass can be adjusted separately in the integrated mixer of the Synchron Player.
• For the fortissimo low-brass section, you can choose between an aggressive, bold sound and a softer, rounder tone.
• For more expedient orchestration, you can simply add or remove the high piccolo. Depending on your arrangement, you may choose whether or not to include its penetrating tone commonly used in tutti arrangements.

More Articulations

• The short notes of Big Bang Orchestra: Andromeda are even shorter than the ones included with the free version, with a very precise attack. This patch includes optimized repetition notes that deliver extremely authentic results when playing repeated notes quickly.
• The long notes offer a variety of articulations, including espressivo, soft, sfz and sffz.
• The sforzatissimo patch reveals the especially awe-inspiring force of a large orchestra when every musician is playing to the top of their lungs.
• The Dynamics category includes two different lengths of crescendos.
• Release Sample Technology adds the correct sound even when the crescendos are played shorter.
• Special articulations include tremolos, flutter tongue, minor and major trills as well as half-tone glissandos.

Con Sordino Bonus Library

• The included Con Sordino bonus library offers beautifully enigmatic and gentle tutti performances.
• It encompasses all the basic articulations, played very softly by the entire orchestra, in the range from pianississimo to mezzopiano.
• All string and brass ensembles play con sordino (muted), while the woodwind ensemble consists of different instruments to avoid the higher registers that would stand out from the ensemble.
• It includes two alto flutes, one bass flute, two English horns, one heckelphone, two bass clarinets, one contrabass clarinet, two bassoons and one contrabassoon.

Modify Your Sound with the Included Synchron Player

• The section microphones can be independently adjusted in the integrated mixer of the Synchron Player, allowing you to emphasize the power of certain sections and giving you more freedom to modify your overall string sound.
• Six levels of reverberation and additional processed presets are offered for each microphone setup: Close, Classic, Wide, Distant, Ambient, and Wet.
• Change the level, panning, delay, and channel-EQ settings for each channel. You can also insert any of the built-in FX plug-ins to further optimize your sound

Room Microphones Presets

• Room Mix Presets: Based on a room mix created from all available room microphones
• Stereo Decca Tree Presets: The Decca Tree is the microphone tree that is the heart and soul of every orchestral recording. It consists of a main stereo channel and a mono center channel, which capture the details of the room from the conductor s perspective
• Surround-to-Stereo Presets: Offer the massive sound of all available room microphones including the Decca Tree mics down-mixed to a stereo signal
• Surround Presets: With your Synchron Player inserted as a surround plug-in in your DAW, these presets provide the starting point for your surround setup
• Processed Presets: The presets use the integrated compressor to achieve an even more powerful sound of the Big Bang Orchestra. Feel free to add more FX as you create the symphonic sound of your desire
