Vienna Symphonic Library Big Bang Orchestra: Ursa - 2nd Violins is a sample-based virtual instrument featuring an ensemble of 2nd violins played with multiple articulations. Taken from the Synchron Strings Pro instrument, it features 10 acclaimed violin players from the Synchron Stage Orchestra meticulously captured in Vienna. The software is compatible with Mac and Windows and operates in AU, VST, VST3, and AAX formats. Ursa integrates perfectly with every module in the BBO series.

Multiple Articulations

• All articulations were taken from Synchron Strings Pro, including short notes (bold, agile, fortissimo), long notes with light and strong vibrato (blendable) as well as played espressivo, and legatos with light and strong vibrato, as well as with marcato attacks, sforzato, several swells, pizzicatos, and tremolos.
• The included measured tremolos, which are fast note repetitions at 120, 130, 140 and 160 bpm, can be synced to the host tempo.
• BBO: Ursa also includes unique soft releases of long notes, where the musicians carefully play slightly longer note fade-outs that sound very musical without having to use MIDI controllers to shape the ending of a tone.

Ready for Mixing

• The included mixer presets deliver a perfect sound out-of-the-box that integrates seamlessly with all the other modules of the Big Bang Orchestra series.
• Room Mixes feature an excellent blend of overhead Decca Tree mics and surround mics mixed to a stereo signal that s light on CPU and RAM.
• Other Mixer Presets offer a combination of mic signals that you can adjust to your needs and liking. These include Decca Tree and Surround to Stereo Downmix presets, the latter feeding the surround mics to the stereo signal for a richer and wider sound.
• Also included are Surround presets for immersive audio setups such as Dolby Atmos and Auro-3D.

Modify Your Sound with the Included Synchron Player

• The section microphones can be independently adjusted in the integrated mixer of the Synchron Player, allowing you to emphasize the power of certain sections, giving you more freedom to modify your overall string sound.
• Presets with reverberation and additional processing are offered for each microphone setup with options including Close, Classic, Wide, Distant, Ambient, and more.
• Change the level, panning, delay, and channel-EQ settings for each channel. You can also insert any of the built-in FX plug-ins to further optimize your sound

Room Microphones Presets

• Room Mix Presets: Based on a room mix created from all available room microphones
• Stereo Decca Tree Presets: The Decca Tree is the microphone tree that is the heart and soul of every orchestral recording. It consists of a main stereo channel and a mono center channel, which capture the details of the room from the conductor s perspective
• Surround-to-Stereo Presets: Offer the massive sound of all available room microphones including the Decca Tree mics down-mixed to a stereo signal
• Surround Presets: With your Synchron Player inserted as a surround plug-in in your DAW, these presets provide the starting point for your surround setup
• Processed Presets: The presets use the integrated compressor to achieve an even more powerful sound of the Big Bang Orchestra. Feel free to add more FX as you create the symphonic sound of your desire.
