iZotope Elements v10 Overview
Designed to introduce users to the powerful possibilities of editing audio within the RX platform, iZotope's RX 10 Elements comprises select modules and plug-ins from RX 10. This latest version of RX Elements includes a new Repair Assistant Plug-In, which uses machine learning to find and fix audio issues quickly without leaving your DAW. D-hum showcases a new dynamic adaptive mode, which will help mitigate hums and buzzes on the fly without having to spend time learning the noise profile of your audio. This software is available for download and operates as a plug-in for Mac- or Windows-based DAWs. It is compatible with AU, VST3, AAX Audiosuite, and AAX formats.
Repair Assistant and the New Repair Assistant Plug-In
- This tool automatically detects noise, clipping, clicks and pops, and more. Simply select the audio you need to process, click on the Repair Assistant button, and let the program analyze your audio. It will offer you three options for processing (light, medium, and aggressive), and you can choose among them after auditioning each one. Next, click Render, and RX Elements will automatically fix the issue.
- If you're new to audio repair, or you just want to save time, try the new Repair Assistant Plug-In, which uses machine learning to find and fix audio issues quickly without leaving your DAW. The Assistant automatically recognizes specific problems and intelligently proposes a repair chain that you can modify to your liking with easy-to-use dials. More than just an upgrade of the previous Repair Assistant, this plug-in was built from the ground up.
Horizontal Scrolling
Horizontal scrolling is now built into the intuitive Spectrogram Display. Use the scroll gesture on your trackpad or mouse with your cursor to scroll through your audio across the X-axis for lightning-fast edits.
De-click
Automatically identify and remove any clicks, pops, and digital impulse noises that can ruin a listening experience. Use De-click when polishing audio transfers and other recordings suffering from quality degradation, digital errors, cell-phone interference, and more with the low-latency De-click algorithm.
De-clip
Repair digital and analog clipping artifacts. Audio clipping occurs when A/D converters are pushed too hard or magnetic tape is oversaturated. De-clip can be extremely useful for reducing distortion in recordings that were made in a single pass, such as live concerts, interviews, and any audio that cannot be rerecorded.
De-reverb
Reduce some of the reverb from a recorded space with the De-reverb audio plug-in. Salvage recordings of dialogue containing too much reverb/acoustic space without needing to spend time/money on a reshoot or ADR. Take control over the amount of ambient space captured in a recording-make large cathedrals sound like small halls and make roomy vocals sound like they were recorded in a proper studio space.
Voice De-noise
Restore problematic vocal recordings in real time with RX's Voice De-noise audio plug-in. Improving on the earlier Dialogue De-noise, the zero-latency Voice De-noise has an Adaptive mode that can adjust to a changing noise floor in real time, making it ideal for dialogue stem set-and-forget de-noising. When optimized for music, Voice De-noise excels at attenuating unwanted background noise from air conditioners, and street noise from sung vocals in apartment recordings.
Static De-hum
In Static De-hum mode, you can target hum with a fundamental tone and 16 harmonic bands above it. In Dynamic mode, you can learn and remove any amount of hum with up to 1024 dynamically variable notch filters.
