Designed to support demanding applications such as media streaming, cloud computing, and virtualization, the barebone RS520A-E12-RS24U-16W2RB Rackmount Server from ASUS allows you to fully customize its performance while having room to scale as your needs grow. Fitting 2 RU rackmount space, this system features a single AMD EPYC 9004 series processor socket and twenty-four 12-channel DDR5-4800 RDIMM memory slots to support demanding applications, including AI workloads and 3D design.
The front panel includes twenty-four hot-swappable 2.5" NVMe drive bays, with 16 of them supporting SAS/SATA drives. There are also two M.2 SSD slots in addition to two rear-facing 2.5" SATA III drive bays. Up to 6144GB of memory may be installed, and multiple PCIe Gen 5 x16 and x8 slots are available for up to four single-slot or two dual-slot GPUs and other compatible expansion cards. The two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports allow you to quickly integrate the server with your network. This server includes dual 1600W 80 PLUS Titanium power supplies with the second one providing failover redundancy.

PCI Express 5.0 delivers 32 GT/s bandwidth, which is twice the speed of PCIe 4.0, and offers lower power consumption, better lane scalability, and backwards compatibility. ASUS servers are PCIe 5.0 ready, with scalable designs to satisfy the increasing workloads or modern data centers.
Connectivity
Four USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports are available, supporting up to 5 Gb/s transfer with compatible peripherals. The VGA port allows you to connect an external display when using CPUs with integrated graphics.
Tool-less Cover
ASUS servers feature three easy-access covers that can be opened without tools, enabling IT staff to perform maintenance on specific components without fully removing the server from the rack.
Hot-Swap Design
