Take advantage of increased airflow and reduced noise with the brown NF-F12 PWM 120mm Cooling Fan from Noctua. Using an SSO-bearing design, this 120mm cooling fan is designed for reliability. Thanks to a 4-pin PWM connection, fan speed can be controlled directly from your motherboard. Delivering 54.97 CFM of airflow at 300 to 1500 rpm and 22.4 dBA, this fan also comes with a low-noise adapter that can reduce fan speed to 1200 rpm while also reducing operational noise. Anti-vibration rubber pads are also included, as is a 4-pin Y cable, allowing users to control 2 fans from the same 4-pin motherboard connection. The Noctua NF-F12 PWM has a lifespan of more than 150,000 hours.

Varying Angular Distance and Vortex Control Notches

The NF-F12 s stator guide vanes are set out in Varying Angular Distance and feature Vortex-Control Notches. Both measures help to spread the noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum, intended to make the fan s sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear.

Focused Flow Frame

Designed for pressure-demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow.

Heptaperf Impeller

Custom designed to work in tandem with the eleven stator guide vanes of the Focused Flow frame, the NF-F12 s seven-blade Heptaperf impeller balances output with reduced operational noise.

Stepped Inlet Design

Noctua s Stepped Inlet Design adds turbulence to the influx in order to facilitate the transition from laminar flow to turbulent flow, which reduces tonal intake noise, improves flow attachment and increases suction capacity, especially in space-restricted environments.

Inner Surface Microstructures

With the tips of the fan blades plowing through the boundary layer created by the Inner Surface Microstructures, flow separation from the suction side of the blades is significantly suppressed, reducing blade-passing noise and improving airflow and pressure efficiency.

Integrated Anti-Vibration Pads

Integrated anti-vibration pads made from extra-soft silicone minimize the transmission of minute vibrations while maintaining full compatibility with all standard screws and other mounting systems.

Stops at 0% PWM

When the fan is set to 0% PWM duty cycle by the motherboard or PWM fan controller, it will stop. This makes it ideal for creating setups with semi-passive cooling that automatically turn the fans off and thus run completely silent at idle if thermals allow.

Low-Noise Adapter

The NF-F12 PWM is supplied with a low-noise adapter, or LNA, that reduces the maximum fan speed to 1200 rpm. The LNA can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 1200 rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.

Extensive Cabling Options

The fan s 7.87 primary cable minimises cable clutter in typical applications while the supplied 11.81 extension provides more reach when necessary. Both cables are fully sleeved and a 4-pin Y cable allows the connection of a second NF-F12 PWM fan to the same PWM fan header for automatic control.
