With the Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80 External SSD, you`ll be able to protect your important data from malware and cybersecurity threats, such as Brute Force attacks and BadUSB, thanks to XTS-AES 256-bit encryption and Dual Read-Only (Write Protect) Modes. It features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port for easy connectivity while the integrated touchscreen offers multiple password and PIN options. As Kingston`s innovative OS-independent hardware-encrypted external solid-state drive, the IronKey Vault Privacy 80 will keep your important data safe and secure.
FIPS 197 Certified XTS-AES 256-Bit Encryption
The drive is FIPS 197 certified with XTS-AES 256-bit encryption using a Common Criteria EAL5+ (CC EAL5+) certified secure microprocessor, and is TAA compliant. The encryption helps protect against cybersecurity threats, such as brute force attacks and BadUSB. There`s also Brute Force attack protection where the drive crypto-erases itself after 15 failed password attempts. The failed password attempt number can be changed between 10 to 30 attempts.
Dual Read-Only (Write-Protect) Mode Settings
Defend against cybersecurity threats from compromised systems using two levels of read-only protection. The write protection prevents malware from infected computers from affecting your data. This drive connects to a computer via its USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port and included cable. There is also an included USB Type-C to Type-A cable for connecting to computers with only USB Type-A ports.
Unique Touchscreen
The integrated touchscreen can be set up with a multi-password option, using either a numeric PIN or passphrase. The admin can enable a user password and set up several security options. The admin can choose the maximum number of shared attempts, password length of 6-64 characters, and alphanumeric rules. Additionally, you can utilize the "space" character to make it easier to remember a passphrase as a list of words, a quote, or lyrics from a favorite song. Another option is to use the PIN pad to enter a numeric password.
