The ToughArmor 4-Bay 2.5` SATA Drive Cage from Icy Dock is designed to fit inside your desktop`s 5.25` bay to provide your system with four hot-swap 2.5` storage drive bays. This design allows you to expand the computer`s storage capacity with 2.5` internal SSDs and HDDs without opening up the computer case each time to install an internal drive. This cage accommodates drives that are 7mm to 15mm tall and have a SATA interface.
Icy Dock includes EZ-Slide Mini trays so you can quickly mount your drives to the backplane or replace a failed drive. To reduce the amount of cables, this cage powers your drives by utilizing a single 4-pin Molex cable. For cooling, two 40mm fans are on board, and a fan switch lets you turn them off when using SSDs. Furthermore, you may configure the drives in a RAID array to enhance the drive`s read and write speeds as well as provide redundancy.
