The USB 3.1 Drive Docking Station for 2.5 and 3.5 SATA Drives from StarTech allows users to connect and access almost any bare 2.5 or 3.5 SATA hard drive or SSD to their host system for drive imaging, data recovery, and backups. This dock supports SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, and SATA I 1.5 Gb/s drives, and is plug-and-play compatible with most operating systems using its one USB 3.1 Type-B port, which operates at speeds up to 10 Gb/s, or its one eSATA port, which operates at speeds up to 6 Gb/s. The lone drive bay has an overhead loading system, a power and activity LED, and supports hot swapping, meaning drives can be changed out without needed to power down the system.
Included is a universal power adapter that is compatible with North America, Japan, Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, a 3.3 USB 3.1 Type-B to Type-A cable, a 3.3 USB 3.1 Type-B to Type-C cable, and a 3.3 eSATA cable.
