It can transfer data at up to 800 MB/s for a few minutes or at around 450 MB/s for around 10 minutes before thermal throttling and dropping to 50 MB/s. Fine for quick transfers, but if you need something that can sustain a high transfer speed, this unfortunately won't do the job. This is the third one I've tried and the second seller I've bought one from. I thought the other two were just from a bad batch, but now I know that these drives need an aluminum enclosure so they can dissipate more heat and at least postpone thermal throttling a bit longer if not prevent it from ever occurring. I think I might give one of their Rage Pro drives a try, as it has an aluminum enclosure. It's funny though, the Rage Pro has a top speed of 420 MB/s instead of the Rage Prime's stated top speed of 600 MB/s, and yet it has an aluminum enclosure to keep it from having to to thermal throttle.
