In order to display at 4K resolution, the host s graphics adapter and attached display need to support 4K resolutions. Please note, this adapter is not bi-directional and will on convert a Mini DisplayPort output to HDMI it will not convert video in the opposite direction. Furthermore, this adapter is not compatible with Microsoft Surface Docking Stations, AMD Eyefinity, or NVIDIA Surround.
