Designed with your health in mind, the VY229HE Eye Care 21.45" Monitor from ASUS features ASUS Eye Care Plus technology, a proprietary long-lasting antibacterial treatment on the bezels and hotkeys that helps prevent bacterial adhesion. Complementing that is Color Augmentation Mode, which helps users with a color-vision deficiency to differentiate colors, a Rest Reminder, which helps users remember to step away from the screen, an adjustable Blue Light Filter, which helps protect eyes from harmful blue light, and Flicker Free technology, which reduces onscreen flicker to help minimize eyestrain and ensure more comfortable viewing.

Technically, this display has Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, support for 16.7 million colors (6-bit + FRC), IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel technology, a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, 250 nits of brightness, 102 ppi, 5 ms (GtG), and 1 ms (MPRT) response times. A refresh rate of 75 Hz means the on-screen image refreshes 75 times per second for smoother motion, while Adaptive-Sync sync the frame rate of your monitor with that of your GPU, which further helps to reduce image tearing. Using the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it is possible to watch content from virtually any position. There is also one HDMI 1.4 input and one VGA input. Audio can be output using the 3.5mm headphone jack.
