Designed for film sets, small studios, small-scale video production teams and SOHO users, the TBS-h574TX Thunderbolt 4 NASbook from QNAP elevates video production for optimum productivity. It packs high-speed I/O and Intel Core performance required by video production, allowing creators using Mac or Windows to enjoy a smooth experience in real-time video editing, large file transfer, video transcoding, and backup. The TBS-h574TX, as the bridge between pre-production and post-production, takes video projects and team collaboration to the next level.
Powered by a Intel Core i5-1340PE 12-Core processor, the TBS-h574TX has one 10GbE port, one 2.5GbE port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and one USB-A 2.0 port for accelerating file transfer and versatile applications. The TBS-h574TX provides five E1.S NVMe PCIe 3.0 x2 SSD slots, all of which are preinstalled with an M.2 2280 adapter, and has one 4K / 30 Hz HDMI 1.4b output for transcoding and graphical computing for converting videos to different formats smoothly via integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Included is a 10Gb Ethernet cable, an AC adapter, and a power cord. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.

Enabling Hot-Swappable M.2 SSDs
As a frontline video production team, there is the risk of project interruptions due to unexpected SSD failures in storage devices. The innovative TBS-h574TX makes M.2 SSDs become hot-swappable for easier drive replacement. Along with supporting automatic RAID replacement with spares (supported from QTS 5.1 / QuTS hero h5.1), if potential drive errors are detected, the system automatically moves data from the affected drive in a RAID group to a spare, before the data on the affected drive is completely corrupted. This reduces system downtime and data loss risks as it avoids RAID rebuilding.

Designed with an excellent cooling system, the TBS-h574TX is equipped with dual fans and supports SSD heatsinks (heatsinks sold separately) to effectively enhance heat dissipation during intensive workloads, allowing creators to confidently enjoy the ultimate performance of SSD.

DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) is the keyman to take responsibility of video file management on shooting site in a frontline video production team.
DIT can quickly import large raw footage from camera SD cards to the TBS-h574TX through USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports and proceed with video transcoding on the NASbook. In addition to saving RAW files, DIT can easily share small files with remote teams for instant discussion and confirmation, or save files to external hard drives or cloud storage.
The TBS-h574TX comes with a built-in HDMI output, allowing on-site personnel to immediately play raw footage from the NASbook on a large screen. The team can also complete the rough cut on-site using Thunderbolt 4, significantly reducing the post-production team's workload.

NAS is way more collaborative than DAS. The TBS-h574TX provides Thunderbolt 4 and 10GbE connectivity that allow the post-production team to edit video files directly from the NASbook, without waiting for files to move from drive to drive, computer to computer.
Once the post-production team finishes current video editing projects on the TBS-h574TX, they can save the final files to a USB DAS (such as TR-004) to free up the NASbook's storage space for the next project.

The TBS-h574TX makes M.2 SSDs hot-swappable, allowing you to treat the two M.2 SSDs with single disk mode as portable external hard drives: simply remove SSDs from one NASbook and insert them to another NASbook for fast large-scale file transfer.

However, playback quality may vary due to factors (including playback software, file formats, system usage, and available bandwidth). H.265 hardware transcoding requires installing CAYIN MediaSign Player with a Plus license.
