Add to your network storage capacity with the TR-004U 4-Bay USB 3.2 Gen 1 Raid Expansion Enclosure from QNAP and use it to backup, move, and share data across connected systems. Designed with high flexibility in mind, the TR-004U rack mountable RAID expansion enclosure connects to your compatible QNAP NAS device or directly to Windows, Mac, and Linux computer systems through its USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connector using the included cable. Up to four 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives can be installed into the enclosure in RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, or JBOD configurations to suit your business and personal storage needs.

4-Bay RAID Expansion Enclosure

Up to four 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drives can be installed into the TR-004U, with support for RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and JBOD configurations. Use its rear-facing DIP switches to select your preferred RAID mode or set it to software control to configuration from your NAS or computer.

Fast Data Transfer Speeds

This enclosure has a maximum read speed of 239.1 MB/s and a 224.8 MB/s write speed with four drives in RAID 5 mode.

Versatile Design

Connect the TR-004U to your compatible QNAP NAS device through its USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port to expand its storage capacity and share data across connected devices. The TR-004U operates independently and does not require any additional NAS system resources. Alternatively, you can use the RAID expansion enclosure as a complementary storage device that connects directly to your NAS, computer, or server to backup or migrate huge amounts of data without consuming network bandwidth.

Lockable Drive Bays

Secure your drives by using the included keys to lock the bays.

Storage & Snapshots Manager

The Storage & Snapshots Manager software allows you to configure the TR-004U as a storage expansion unit for your QNAP NAS. Use it to configure the RAID mode, the NAS expansion storage mode, and other functions such as storage pools and snapshots.

QNAP External RAID Manager

Using QNAP External RAID Manager utility for Windows and Mac lets users quickly set up, monitor, and view the status of the TR-004U.

Cooling

The TR-004U includes two 40mm fans with 5-speed control to help maintain optimal temperatures.
