This switch supports five different networking speeds including 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G. Speed requirements are automatically detected by the switch to ensure bandwidth is allocated properly throughout the switch. The XS512EM switch also supports 10GBASE-T networking specifications with support for both Cat 6 and Cat 7 network cables over the existing RJ45 Ethernet port.

Installation of the NETGEAR XS512EM switch is simple as it comes equipped with twelve 100M/1G/2.5G/5G/10G RJ-45 copper ports including two shared SFP+ ports. The rackmount form factor makes it easy to integrate the switch into existing racks. Once installed, the 240 Gb/s switching capacity, 32K MAC address table, and support for 64 VLANs and 128 multicast groups ensures the switch can offer optimal network performance even under demanding network conditions.
