By taking advantage of the of the 160 MHz channels, the ZenWiFi XD5 system can transfer up to 2976 Mb/s over the 5 GHz and 2.5 GHz bands with compatible devices, which is about 3x faster than the previous Wi-Fi standard with 4x the device capacity. Additionally, Wi-Fi 6 technologies such as Target Wake Time help to extend battery life while maintaining efficient connections to laptops, phones, tablets, and smart home devices.

Flexible Mesh Network

Mesh networks provide you with seamless connectivity as you move from room to room by automatically handing off your device to the module with the strongest signal. The ZenWiFi XD5 allows you to customize your network name according to your needs. You can configure your entire network to use a single network ID (SSID), or give separate and unique names to the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands to better organize your network. Additionally, you can expand your wireless coverage by adding ASUS AiMesh compatible routers to the network as satellites.

Versatile Design

The ZenWiFi XD5 lets you optimize coverage your way with multiple mounting options. You can place each module on a desk or shelf or mount them onto walls with the included screws. The compact yet stylish design of each module allows them to discreetly blend in with the environment.

Each module has a Gigabit Ethernet LAN/WAN port available that automatically detects when it s connected to a cable or DSL broadband modem. It and the accompanying LAN port may be used for wired devices such as computers, smart TVs, and game consoles. As an added benefit, you can choose to link the routers together using separately purchased Ethernet cables to establish a dedicated wired backhaul for the modules to reliably communicate with each other through.
