Ubiquiti Networks UniFi U7 Pro Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point

The range is kind of lousy, my old asus ax-11000 had much more range. This is barely big enough to cover my house with one unit on the first floor. It doesn't reach through 3 drywall walls about 30' away even at max transmit power. My new garage openers are a bit spotty, no big deal since I didn't buy them for wifi access. This also has issue with temperature and I cant put it in my attic because it's too warm and refuses connections. I was hoping to toss it up there and avoid holes in my ceiling but it couldn't handle even 120°f. The mfr website says up to 60c/140f so there shouldn't have been an issue.

My wifi speed for this AP is currently limited by my powerline network adapter. But this is handeling my full gig internet over wifi when not on the powerline adapter. The ring light on this is a tad brighter than my last unifi AP though. I don't think I can turn that down.

I thought it was dead on arrival until I educated myself on PoE standards. I had 24V pass thru switch and this needs a 48V switch. I upgraded and once connected, it was adopted and configured in 30m including: upgrade, configuring networks, configuring WiFi channels. I probably don't need a WAP such as this, but it is nice to potentially future proof my house if WiFi 7 becomes a thing.

I've upgraded from the AP-AC-Pro. The upgraded antennas definitely made a difference in coverage. Speeds are definitely faster. Easy installation and configuration. Hot swappable with previous gens meaning almost the same size. No issues to report so far.
