The router connects to your modem through the Gigabit Ethernet WAN port. The RT-AX55 also includes lifetime access to AiProtection Classic, powered by Trend Micro, to provide comprehensive network security to help protect your connected devices from internet threats.

Fast Wi-Fi

The RT-AX55 has four powerful external antennas, supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi, and can transfer up to 1201 Mb/s over the 5 GHz frequency and 574 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz signal, for a total throughput of 1775 Mb/s.

Efficient Long-Range Connections

MU-MIMO allows for simultaneous communication with multiple devices while OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) breaks the wireless signal into small low-frequency sub-channels for farther reach.

Power Saving

Target Wake Time (TWT) enables the RT-AX55 to set designated intervals for devices to transmit data. Devices enter into a sleep state until it`s their turn, which reduces their power consumption and extends battery life.

Four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports are available for connected wired devices.

AiProtection Classic

AiProtection Classic helps to protect your connected devices from internet threats by syncing with Trend Micro`s cloud-based database for the latest updates. The free software protection provides protected device connections, an integrated firewall, guest network options, malicious site blocking, and can detect and block infected devices. You can also use the parental controls to limit screen time for specific devices and manually block sites.

Asus AiMesh

Expand your Wi-Fi coverage with AiMesh by adding select ASUS routers to the network to create a mesh system. You can use a mix of different models and configure the system to use the same SSID.
