Scosche MagicMount PowerBank Micro-USB 4000mAh Battery Pack (Black)

Nice build. Soft to the touch. Rather light so shouldn't weigh down a backpack. Came with two extra magnets (to put inside your phone?) included. Also comes with a one foot (or so) long cable to charge it back up, but does NOT have a socket box to plug the USB end into a regular wall socket (plug into a standard USB port is fine, or just provide your own socket end piece). I bought a few of these at five dollars a piece. In case anyone was wondering, I estimate that these power banks have closer to about 3200 mAh or so. I did a test three times, with my phone which the battery is 2000 mAh, I ran it down to 0%, recharged said phone with this thing back up to 100% no problem, detached bank and played some more streaming videos over internet to run it down to 0% again, then on the second charge of said phone, the battery got back up to about 65 to 70% or so on the second charge. So that's 2000 + 1400 mAh, or so, if my math is correct. I only ran said test on one of these, not the others. My only complaint is I wish it had some longer cord so that your phone does not have to be right next to it while charging, but you could probably buy such an extension elsewhere. Also, from what I can tell (don't quote me, though) is this won't attach to Apple lightning or Samsung's weird ports as well (?). I've only used this on Android regular USB Mini ports or whatever it's called.

If you like using NFC, the magnets will make NFC useless. I used NFC almost every day and this things made it obsolute, Tried returning it within a day of getting it, but will be charged .9.95 to return, cost for this was .9.95. If you use NFC I would stay away form this.

The design is good, and magnetically attaching to a phone or other device is nice. The build quality is excellent, feels very rugged and at the very least weatherproof. It would have been 5 stars BUT it has no where near 4000mAh capacity. It runs a 200mA load for about 8 hours, which makes it less than 2000mAh.

I've only had this charger for about 6 months. The cable assembly no longer works and there's no way to repair it. Just throw your money away if you buy this it'll be junk in 6 months or less.

As soon as I opened the package I was happy to see and feel the quality of the battery pack. The magnet included fits perfectly. I am glad I ordered 3.
