Canon SELPHY Square QX10 Compact Photo Printer (White)

This is a very good little printer. The print speed is snappy, the quality is more than sufficient for its purpose, and it's easily portable. There are a few downsides. One is that there is no easy way to print to it from anything other than your phone (I'm using Android). I CAN print to it using the phone app on my Windows computer that basically mirrors my phone's operation but I may as well just print from my phone then. It would be nice if it would just show up as a network printer I could print directly to from my computer. It would really be great if you could print straight from your camera but that's also not possible. Another quirk is that the app won't access images on your phone's sd card. You can work around that by opening the image in another app then sharing the image to the Selphy app (or copying the image to the phone's internal memory of course). The app isn't very intuitive either. It gets the job done but not well and has very few features. You can add borders and text overlays onto your image but the options for those are extremely limited and there isn't a way to add more of them. Canon is missing out on making money from selling additional frames as add on packs. Lastly, the battery is only good for one box worth of prints which is not ideal. Considering the battery has to move each print 7 times this is somewhat understandable but I would have preferred a removable battery so you could swap with a fresh battery if you need to make more than 20 prints in one go.

I purchased this printer to print pics for my journal. These are reminiscent of polaroids in the style of the picture, but that's it. The image is crisp, clear and colors are very accurate. The sticky back takes a moment to stick but that's not a big deal. When I first stick it to my journal pages, it acts like it wants to peel up at the corners. I just close the journal and press the pic to the page and it sticks fine. Once it is stuck, it stays and doesn't peel back at the corners. I've also used this for my granddaughter's baby book. They fit the spaces perfectly. The picture size is just under 2.75 wide by just under 3.5 long. The image dimensions are 2.5 x 2.5. You download the Selphy app to print pics and it is very easy to use. There aren't a great deal of features to customize the images but that is not what I want from the app anyway. I can do that in another app. Overall very pleased - prints quick, colors are accurate, sticky paper sticks well and images are a great size for what I wanted.

Bought this for my wife to print pictures of our newborn and it has been her favorite thing to do! Love it!!!

The new updated app does not work. Its not uploading any pictures. Fix the APP! It use to work before the update. If the app does not work then the printer is useless.

This worked great until I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro. Now the software does not connect to the printer and there is no other software that can be used. They just released a software update to the app and it didn't fix a thing.

The app is the only way you can print. Go to the app store and read the reviews before buying. So upset, Ive been wanting this printer for 6months and was a surprised gift. Now it's useless because the app doesn't work. The cannon developers is doing nothing about the complaints.
