Brother HL-L2400D Compact Monochrome Laser Printer

I want to start by saying that I love this printer. The installation is very easy and printing is a breeze. The size is compact and color is sleek, looks great in my office. I was blown away with how rapidly it prints and I love that it does double sided printing! This has become my new go to printer for work and for my children's school work. I absolutely love it and would totally reccomend it!

After much agonizing over types, styles, prices and brand names I arrived at what would be best for my situation... instead of ink jet or mega tank the laser printer won.Now ...what kind? I chose Brother and Im thrilled at the outcome. I dont print much anymore but when I do its going to be something essential . The laser is ready , boots up smoothly, prints quickly and the page is sharp and clear. I did have a slight problem in setup., which was downloaded from the Brother site. It asked for some number that was supposedly on the printer somewhere.....it was not. So I kept looking and found another Brother site for setup and this one worked beautifully. Ot only took a minute or so and it was ready to rock. Since then Ive printed several pages for both written word and artist reditions of animals to use for hobby work and all came out perfectly. I even like the size.of the printer which has a footprint about the same dimensions as my old ink jet., but with a distinctive more compact style. And for the price I paid.....I'm super impressed.

This is a great printer. I have never liked inkjet printer because the ink dries up and it's expensive. This printer has none of those issues. My printing is only documents and black and white images. This printer is reliable and the print is clear and precise. The ink in reasonably priced. I love the double sided printing. Saves paper. I would highly recommend this printer.

Only had this printer about 2 weeks but works better than expected. I had forgotten how quiet an laser printer can be since I previously had an extremely large ricoh printer that took forever to warm up and was extremely loud. Although the ricoh was color...it still was not worth it amd disnt last 2 years. This printer is quiet, compact, quick to warm up, and easy to setup with just USB and power cord. I was looking for printer compatible with windows 7 and after chatting with customer service I decided on this one. Not compatible out of the box with earlier Windows versions but was able to download driver from brother support website (driver was from model hL -2240).

It is a reliable printer, my daughter had one for more than 12 years. The only problem I see is that if the image is not clear, there is no way to adjust the output. This just happened as all I had was a photo of the original document. Although several print sizes are available, there is no way to enlarge or lighten the image to explore a more legible print out. However, for normal printing jobs it is hard to improve on for the price of the printer.
