very compact and easy laser printer, worked like a charm after easy setup. nice clear images, no hassle when i unboxed and setup this printer. it is more economical and faster than my color inkjet. really helpful with the everyday printing.

We purchased this printer to replace an older, failing HP LaserJet printer. This printer was easy to setup use, and most important to me: it does not require a snooping/intrusive internet connection to simply print! HP printers now require an internet connection to operate, so I'm done buying HP printers. And 's prices were, AMAZingly, lower than other sources.

Decent Black and White laser printer. The price drop due to the updatedLBP247dw model was nice as it's essentially the same, except the added cost for the touchscreen which isn't really necessary. Save yourself some money and get the LBP246dw model. Haven't tried it out yet, except for testing, but will very soon, as a replacement for an older, outdated Brother laser printer. The lower rating has more to do more with the setup connection which is still a pain in the butt! Windows 10/11 actually has the printer drivers compared to the Generic drivers that Canon provides on the included CD and online support page. It ONLY uses 2.4Gz not the 5Gz for wifi so do Not expect much speed, as there is a 3 sec delay for docs to print once sent to the printer from the PC. For relatively faster speed, connect via cable to print, otherwise, use both cable and the 2.4 wifi. You MUST have the wifi turned on so other PCs and smartphones can recognize and use the laser printer. For whatever reasons, the printer can NOT be found on a network. Don't waste your time like I did. Connect the printer to the PC that you use often and turn on the wifi feature for all other devices. You'll need to download the Canon Business app on your smartphone to use the printing feature. The printer does NOT recognize Apple's Airdrop feature so you must use the wifi function via print instead. Canon really needs to revamp its software as it's Terrible! Also, the Toner Status app does NOT work with the LBP246 model! It does work with the older Imageclass FM410 model. Don't use the Toner Saver as text is printed relatively light. It doesn't look good when printing professional documents.

I bought this printer to complement my Canon R70 scanner for home office use. Like other Canon products, the printer appears well built and quite capable. However, all its capabilities make it challenging for a more casual user to set up, and I think the 643 page PDF manual is both overly complicated and confusing. I spent many hours trying to figure out how to set up the menu settings on the LCD screen for two-sided printing without error messages. I am an experienced computer user but not an engineer, and other users have reported similar problems online. I hope Canon can add a more informative Quick Setup section to the manual. I have finally gotten it to work after fiddling with the menu settings but still don't know exactly how I did it. It shouldn't be this hard. Now that it is working, the printer is smooth and fast and seems like it will have a long service life.

I bought this printer for my home office and was very surprised how easy it was to get set up and connected. Getting the printer connected to my computer and my phone via the Apple AirPrint was very easy and got everything working in under 25 min. The printer is a lot quieter than my previous printer and I can tell the quality of the prints is much better. I'm very happy with the purchase.

A great monochrome laser printer with ease of wireless set up - fast output and crisp nice black text. The built in duplexer is a real plus and it handles envelopes easily.
