Padcaster PCSTARTER-001 Overview

Turn your iPad into an all-in-one mobile video production suite with the Starter Kit from Padcaster. Designed for schools, broadcast journalists, vloggers, companies of all sizes and more, this kit is compatible with most iPad models, including the 9.7" iPad, 12.9" iPad Pro, and those in between. It is a great entry-level video production system that empowers you to tell your story with tools that are mobile and professional. This kit includes the Padcaster Case, Wide Angle/Macro Lens, Mini Microphone Kit, Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod, Padded Backpack, Dual Microphone/Headphone Splitter, and a cold shoe mount.

Please note that an iPad is not included. Additional accessories for lighting, audio, stability, teleprompter, and green screen are sold separately.

Padcaster Case

Designed for most iPads, including the 9.7" iPad, 12.9" iPad Pro, and most models in between, as well as non-Apple tablets, the Padcaster Case lets you accessorize your tablet with external mics, lights, optics, and other accessories, thanks to sixteen threaded mounting holes. It also features a tripod thread and a locking pin notch, which allows it to be mounted on most tripods, monopods, and other support systems. There is also a 37mm lens bracket for attaching most thread-mount lenses, including Padcaster's wide-angle and telephoto lenses. This case features anodized aluminum construction, which helps increase its durability.

Padcaster Wide-Angle Lens

Expand your field of view with a Wide-Angle Lens from the Padcaster. This 0.45x lens attaches to your Padcaster's lens bracket with its 58mm thread. It accepts 62mm filters and the front of the lens unscrews, leaving a macro lens for close-up photography.

Padcaster PCVMM01 Mini Microphone

The PCVMM01 Mini Microphone from Padcaster is a compact, lightweight, aluminum electret condenser and transducer mic. It can be used to capture audio for mobile devices such as smartphones, DSLRs, camcorders, audio recorders, computers, and more. Featuring a plug and play design, the Padcaster mini microphone requires no batteries and includes a shockmount to reduce unwanted handling noise, a built-in cold shoe mount, a fuzzy windscreen, and a draw-string bag for storage. For your convenience, the Padcaster mini includes both 3.5mm TRS and TRRS cables.

Padcaster Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod

For DSLR, mirrorless, iPad, smartphone, and action cameras, the Padcaster Fluid Head Tripod/Monopod is a flexible support platform that allows you to work on flat or uneven surfaces, undersling your camera for low shots, or remove one of the legs to create a monopod with a pan/tilt head. Supporting up to 13.2 lb, the tripod features a sliding balance plate so you can balance your camera and create smooth pans and tilts without having to fight the weight of your camera.

Featuring three-leg sections with clip locks, you can easily adjust the height of the legs, and the head's built-in bubble level makes leveling your camera a breeze on either flat or uneven surfaces. The tripod features a telescoping center column that mounts on one of the removable legs, and an integrated spring-loaded hook lets you hang weight to increase stability.

Padcaster Backpack

Carry your mobile media gear on the go with the Padcaster Backpack. This bag is made from rugged, water-resistant nylon and is fully padded to keep your gear safe. Inside, five hook-and-loop dividers let you configure the interior as you like it, and the removable zipper pouch gives you another option for internal storage. An exterior pocket can be found on one side and a mesh water bottle holder on the other, and the back sports a clip for attaching your tripod. An elastic rain cover is included for further protection.

Padcaster Dual Mic/Headphone Jack

Listen and record with the Dual Mic/Headphone Jack from the Padcaster. This Y-splitter has a 3.5mm TRRS male connector on one end and female 3.5mm microphone and headphone connectors on the other, enabling you to record and monitor simultaneously.
