Nomatic Travel Pack (14L)

I'm a backpack aficionado. Better yet, a backpack snob with over 30 of em - I know, I have a problem. But enough about my problems, let's talk about the bag's. Right out of the gate the padding in the shoulder straps feels quite cheap to the touch. Even worse after an hour of weighted wear. Don't care how many bottles were reclaimed, this is an area you never cut costs in. I also found the full zip computer compartment design to be problematic when fully loaded. In my experience with other bags with the same design and zipper type, they can and often fail when loaded down - though this has yet to happen with this particular bag, I am still wary of the failure which prevents me from fully loading the bag. Almost as disappointing as the shoulder strap quality, is the suit case open feature. It is what initially drew me to the bag. However, you can only access that functionality after first unzipping the expansion zipper to expose the suitcase zipper. This makes accessing the most unique feature of the bag clunky, and time consuming. I get that this is a travel bag, and the side bottle pockets look sleek and clean but they struggle to hold a 32oz Nalgene bottle. I will say that the retractable key chain clip and included glasses case is a nice touch. I'll be comparing this to the solgaard when the wife and I travel to Italy next week and will report back.
