Some of the remotest and hardest-to-reach locations on the planet are now within your grasp when using the DJI FlyCart 30 Aerial Delivery Drone. From mountaintops to ships at sea, the FlyCart 30 can deliver essential supplies, medication, and more. The rugged octocopter drone goes beyond traditional norms with four dual-blade arms that produce enough lift for payloads up to 66 lb, and it can fly these payloads for up to 17.4 miles at up to 44.7 mph (with dual batteries). All while resisting high winds, water, and extreme temperatures. Cargo can be delivered via the included EPP case or an optional winch system. All flights and deliveries are kept safe through a strong signal, multiple safety technologies, and powerful data security.
Please note that flight batteries are required and not included with the FlyCart 30. The drone can operate with a single DB2000 battery but can only achieve its maximum abilities with two DB2000 batteries. Also, please note that payloads up to 88.2 lb for up to 5 miles of range are supposed when using a single battery.
Extreme Capabilities
Built to handle some of the roughest terrain and weather conditions, the FlyCart 30 can operate in temperatures from -4 to 113° F, is IP55-rated for water and dust resistance, is corrosion resistant, can handle wind speeds up to 26.8 mph, and can fly at altitudes up to 3.7 miles.
Deployment Modes
- Cargo Mode: The included EPP case fits under the FlyCart 30, and its cargo door opens and closes easily with a single latch design. With an interior capacity of 22.6 x 16.4 x 12.0" , weight and center of gravity are detected before takeoff. The RC Plus is alerted to any deviation, allowing you to adjust what's inside for a safer and more efficient flight.
- Winch Mode: This mode requires the optional Winch System Kit. With this kit, you can lower payloads via a cable system. The cable lowers at a maximum speed of 2.6 ft/s and has a 65.6' length. Once it touches down, the cargo is released automatically. During deployment, the FlyCart 30 can intelligently adjust its attitude to minimize cargo swing. In emergencies where the cargo is trapped or tangled, operators can remotely heat and cut the cable to free the drone.
Strong Signal
Maintaining a strong connection with the FlyCart 30 is essential for accurate cargo deployment and the successful completion of missions. To ensure long-distance drone control and video transmission, the FlyCart 30 is equipped with a four-antenna system that intelligently selects the one with the least interference. It also uses DJI's O3 Wi-Fi-based transmission system, which can achieve distances of up to 12.4 miles. With the optional purchase of a DJI 4G dongle, you can give the FlyCart 30 the ability to continue operation over a 4G cellular signal if the O3 system is compromised.
Multilayer Safety
Safety is paramount when operating the FlyCart 30. The drone, cargo, fellow aircraft, and everyone and everything on the ground needs to be protected during each operation. This is achieved through a series of safety features, from the highly technical obstacle avoidance, to the practical built-in parachute.
- Front and rear phased array radars work with a binocular vision system for intelligent multidirectional obstacle avoidance.
- A built-in ADS-B signal receiver can detect and warn pilots of nearby crewed aircraft.
- Safe takeoffs and landings are supported by a 6-second delay in propeller rotation, audio and visual prompts, and secondary confirmation of landing. With the addition of an optional RTK module, the FlyCart 30 can also benefit from centimeter-level precision landings.
- On startup, a self-check is done on an integrated parachute system. Kept operational with its own independent power supply, the parachute can deploy in low-altitude scenarios if needed. When engaged, the propellers are stopped before deployment, and sound and light alerts signal others nearby.
- You can set alternate landing sites in the case of an emergency.
- The FlyCart 30 can accept up to two flight batteries. This redundancy helps ensure the completion of a mission if one battery were to fail.
RC Plus Controller
Flight and control functionality is built into a robust remote that can withstand water, dust, and extreme temperatures from -4 to 122° F. Real-time video and telemetry data is displayed on its 7" 1200-nit touchscreen. Transmission and control are done using DJI's O3 transmission system, or 4G cellular with an optional dongle. Powering the RC Plus are Internal and hot-swappable batteries that give up to 6 hours of battery life.
Data Safety
Flight data goes through multiple layers of protection, along with encryption and storage in the cloud using Amazon Web Services, which complies with ISO/IEC 27001 security certifications. Other data safety features include full-link AES-256-CBC data encryption, the ability to clear all captured data, logs, and cache— both on the drone and in the app— and the assurance that DJI will not access user data without express permission.
DJI Pilot 2 and DeliveryHub
Pilot 2 on the remote lets you view a real-time video feed from the drone and monitor telemetry data. Features include cruise control, terrain sensing, route recording, and more. It can also use AR Projection to display the target for precise deployment or landing. DeliveryHub is a delivery management platform that can plan and monitor operations, centralize team resources, and perform data collection and analysis.
