This kit includes an ND/PL8, ND/PL16, ND/PL32, and ND/PL64 filter, which combines the attributes of neutral density and polarization. As an ND filter, each one reduces the amount of light that enters the camera on bright, sunny days. The entire set reduces light by 3 to 6 stops. The ND properties also prevent overexposure and increase color saturation in images while letting you reduce shutter speed in videos. As a polarizer, they work to eliminate reflections and boost color contrast.
Made from German SCHOTT optical glass the ND/PL filters have been ground and polished multiple times to deliver hi-def image and video capture, as well as achieving a low refractive index that results in more accurate color reproduction. An antireflection coating makes each filter ideal for use out in the sun and around glass buildings, snow, or water. It reduces reflections while increasing color saturation and contrast.
