DJI N3 Flight Controller

Made to control a broad range of multi-rotor aircraft for everything from hobbyists to industrial applications, the DJI N3 Flight Controller is packed with features to help optimize flight performance. The primary features of the N3 include dual IMU redundancy, an integrated 8GB black box, and a vibration-dampening system. If an IMU fails, the N3 can switch to a backup automatically. During flight, the black box records every detail of the flight for real-time adjustment or post-flight flight data review. The vibration-dampening system universally improves performance for everything from lightweight racers to heavy-duty industrial drones.

Equipment and Software Compatibility

The DJI N3 flight controller can be used with a wide range of products, such as the DJI Zenmuse series of gimbals and cameras, DJI Assistant 2 and DJI GO flight applications, DJI Intelligent ESC, Lightbridge 2, Datalink Pro, iOSD, and various remote controllers and receivers.

DJI Onboard and Mobile SDK

With either DJI Onboard or the mobile SDK, hobby and pro developers can create custom software solutions for the N3 to meet their specific needs.

Sport Mode

The N3 can maximize maneuverability and fly aircraft at a maximum altitude angle of up to 45° .

GPS and Attitude Mode

This mode lets you manually adjust maneuverability, and with DJI s Assistant 2, parameters such as attitude angle, ascending and descending speeds, angular velocity, and more can be adjusted.

Precision Fault-Tolerant Controls

The N3 can stabilize and land hexacopters or octocopters, even if the propulsion system fails.

Propulsion Protection

The propulsion system is monitored in real-time, so various flight conditions, such as hovering, maximum altitude, and maximum yaw angular rate can be adjusted to conserve both propulsion and power.

Automatic Inspection

The N3 will automatically inspect and assess whether the motors and other physical attributes of the drone have been attached to the aircraft correctly.

Optimized Altitude Stabilization

The IMU Fusion algorithm provides better height control by reducing the airflow effect and reducing height drop when braking quickly or experiencing a sudden wind change.

Reduced Magnetic Interference

The IMU Fusion algorithm can deal with magnetic interference to reduce magnetic drift.

Software Support

When using DJI GO or DJI Assistant 2, you can use the N3 to view a live feed of video footage, battery status, redundancy status, signal strength, and more. The N3 also allows for control over various functions through these optional applications when using a Zenmuse X5 or X5R camera, such as shutter speed, ISO, aperture, and focus.
