D.A.S Audio Event 218A Powered Dual 18 Bass Reflex Subwoofer System
The D.A.S. Event 218A is a powered, dual 18 bass-reflex subwoofer system designed to provide extended bass response to the Event line array series full-range cabinets, and is well suited for rental houses, bars, clubs, mobile DJs, or any pro audio application. The Event 218A utilizes a 3600W Class-D amplifier to power each of the 18 woofers to provide a frequency response of 32 to 125 Hz with a peak SPL output of 140 dB.
The birch plywood enclosure is finished with black ISO-flex paint and includes four handles (2 per side) for ease in transport. The rear panel offers two XLR inputs, two XLR loop-thru outputs, a level control, a 80 to 125 Hz low-pass filter control, and a dedicated polarity switch. When using two or three subwoofers, a cardioid switch is included to help reduce the bass response at the rear of the stacks, cutting down on stage volume and feedback issues. The top panel offers a pole-mount socket for use with 35mm speaker poles for mounting full-range speakers. Additionally, the D.A.S. Action 218A features a PowerCon input and pass-thru to daisy-chain power to multiple subwoofers and ships with a power cable.
