Kopul 3-Pin XLR Female to 1/4' TRS Male Barrel Adapter

Works well at a great price by avoiding the cost of a pair of good cable wire terminations. One consequence is that 1/4 jacks on equipment can be too close to other occupied jacks to allow the use of this adapter, which has the larger diameter of an XLR plug. In these cases, a different adapter with a (short) cable separating the XLR barrel from the 1/4 plug is required. I find it efficient to stock only XLR cables for moving signals around longer distances in my venue, rather than stocking several kinds of cables. Therefore it's useful to have several of these adapters on hand to connect signals incoming on XLR cables to equipment when the equipment (a) has only 1/4 inputs, (b) has pre-amps on its XLR inputs (but not its 1/4 inputs) that you don't want and which cannot be bypassed, and (c) has XLR inputs whose pre-amps can be bypassed but which have different and less-desireable impedance for the signal than the 1/4 inputs.

Does exactly what I need it to do! I always have a good amount of these in my video and audio adapters box!

I have tried multiple different brands of xlr cables. There is a significant notch in the adapter which is much larger than any xlr cable I own. Really pushing the adapter in hard just barely can fit on one cable but I'm getting horrible noise I'm guessing is from the adapter. I can check back when I find if that is actually the case
