Blizzard SoC-It Wi-Fi Wireless DMX Gateway Control Solution

After two hrs I was able to get it to pair and setup with the phone app on Android. Couldn't get them to connect to ipad software version. After successful connection and control test, couldn't get them to work at gig. They wouldn't connect to the network, couldn't reconnect to them, and was blinking a pattern not listed on paperwork or website. Will try contacting blizzard and am still hoping they are not too good to be true...

I wanted a smaller wireless to DMX solution that wasn't too expensive and this filled that need. It comes with a 17500 battery that is replaceable which is really nice, my only worry is that the battery cover is magnetic and doesn't seem super secure. The only other thing I don't like is that there is only one button for all functions and its also the XLR release button. For my needs, once I have it set up though I only need to turn it on and off. Maybe its just me, but it defaults to playback mode being on which blocks all incoming DMX instructions, so you need to set it to turn that off. I had to download their app to do that and you have to create an account which was annoying, but once I set it up in the Blizzard app I switched over to Luminair and it has worked fine with that so far. I do like that the power LED on the Blizzard is RGB and you can put it into test mode to verify that your signal is getting to the Blizzard and so if you are having a problem you know its something down the line, and for the price I am definitely happy with it even considering the small gripes that I have.

This is a great product that has yet to reach its full potential. I received it with some software bugs in the control app, but after some emails with the company my issues were solved with an update within days. Very professional company who care about their customers. What more do you want? Also the product is reliable and well executed. Can't wait to watch it grow and improve.

Bought this to get wireless DMX in a small lighting rig in ceiling of an auditorium. We leave the USB charging cable attached and powered up. Battery is removable so you don't have to worry about overcharging it. Generates its own SSID or you can assign it to an existing one. Brilliant. It can also be used for a tester of your DMX chain at any point. Comes with a free phone app. For .150 you can control an entire universe of DMX... and it fits in your pocket! I'm using Luminair with it, and it is flawless. If you disconnect power, it comes back up right where it left off.
