Vello FlashBoss TTL Transceiver for Canon
EAN: 847628002739
Create gorgeous lighting setups with the Canon E-TTL / E-TTL II-compatible FlashBoss TTL Transceiver from Vello. This TTL transceiver functions as both a transmitter and receiver, and works in tandem with other FlashBoss transceivers. It can be configured to transmit full TTL information from the camera to other FlashBoss Transceivers within the unit s impressive 328 range. Also, the hot shoe located on the top of the transceiver offers pass-through capability for using a flash on camera as well. Configured with a 2.4 GHz frequency, 15 channels, and five groups, the FlashBoss will provide remote control over numerous flashes with minimal interference from other nearby systems. Additionally, users have access to TTL, manual, multi, group, and delayed time modes to configure each set of lights to work well with one another.
When using TTL, users have access to multiple sync settings, including first-curtain and high-speed sync at up to 1/8000 second. There is also a threaded PC sync port that provides support for studio strobes and can be used in combination with the delayed time setting to ensure they sync with your other flashes and camera. A USB terminal is available as well and can be used for firmware updates or with an optional shutter release cable for remote triggering of cameras. Additionally, it runs on two AA batteries and comes with a mini stand with 1/4 -20 thread for mounting on a stand or placing on a table.
Camera Compatibility
Features
The FlashBoss mounts directly to a camera s hot shoe and features a top hot shoe with pass-through capabilities for attaching an on-camera flash.
A 2.4 GHz frequency and access to 15 channels, as well as one auto channel, provide a maximum range of 328 while ensuring minimal interference from nearby equipment.
When set up as a transmitter, users will be able to control all settings and receivers from a FlashBoss mounted to the camera, and transmit it to FlashBoss connected to a flash unit. This includes TTL modes with exposure compensation of -3 to 3 EV in 1/3-stop increments, a manual mode with control from 1/1 to 1/128 power in 1/3-stop increments, a Delayed Time (DT) setting for adjusting delay from 0-5 seconds in 1/10-second increments, a Group mode for setting each group individually, and TTL ratio adjustment for controlling power between groups. Other settings include a stroboscopic multi mode for advanced effects and the ability to set flash coverage, or zoom.
When set as a receiver, or slave, the FlashBoss can be configured to sync and receive signals from a master unit on the same channel. Also, when using an optional shutter release cable a camera can be connected for remote triggering.
First-curtain sync and high-speed sync at up to 1/8000 second are available.
A threaded PC sync terminal is available for using studio strobes.
The FlashBoss runs on two AA batteries which will run for approximately 120 hours.
