While you can position the light to the subject`s left or right, it`s while shooting through the fixture`s 14" diameter central opening with your camera or smartphone attached to the included mounts, that the real magic happens. The hallmark of this form factor is the interesting and engaging circular catchlights reflected in the eyes of your subject.

The light has a color temperature that`s variable from 3200 to 5600K to blend in seamlessly with your room light or just for creative effects. The light`s high CRI of 96 is an indicator of advanced accuracy in color rendering. The ring light can be used worldwide via the included 100-240 VAC adapter, but it also runs on two separately purchased NP-F batteries for situations where AC power is unavailable. A 6.25` light stand is included to support the ring light.
