Lupo Superpanel PRO Full Color 60 LED Hard Light Panel (Standard Yoke)

I wanted to wait a while before I wrote my review to see how these lights would do over time. I'm proud to say they've proven to be an excellent addition and a game changer to my photo and video studio. I have a 36 foot infinity wall and they give a beautiful, even illumination to the entire wall. Quite a difference from the old Mole Richardson 1000W tungsten monsters I used to use! Not to mention the money I save on electricity and bulb replacement. I love the RGB choices and the color temperature options and the effects. Stacked up side by side to the Arri Skypanel they were almost exactly the same. A friend of mine who's a DP ran all the spec tests and found there was very little difference for half the price. The material that they are made of is a little less sturdy than the Arri but I keep them in the studio and hang them from my grid so I didn't need the road-worthy heavy alloy that Arri uses. My only complaint is that there is no remote control or phone app and I haven't quite mastered DMX so I have to go up top to make any color or temp adjustments. But I built a rolling staircase that works well for just that purpose. Also, the service is spectacular. I've found that any questions or issues I have (and I've only had one or two due to an incorrect setting on my part) have been answered promptly by the techs at where I purchased my lights. I did have to send one light back when I first got them due to sloppiness on my part. I inadvertently hit one of the lights with my rolling staircase and I chipped off a piece of the plastic and it got jammed in the fan. I was referred by to the Lupo company in Italy for a replacement. I had never spoken to anyone in Italy before but what a pleasant experience! The woman that I spoke to I believe was the owner and she was so friendly and helpful. She told me how to pack up the light and ship it internationally. They paid all of the shipping fees and even sent me a replacement which arrived in less than a week. In conclusion, if you are looking for a great studio light or a travel light (I'd recommend a road case) with great customer service and incredible quality I'd suggest you give Lupo a try. BTW, when I turn my two overhead Lupos on they never fail to elicit a gasp or a wow from the client. Its truly a beautiful sight to see the wall lit so perfectly!
