Manfrotto Skylite Rapid Extra Large Kit (10 x 10')

Ultra light weight despite being massive at 10' square. I was getting some really beautiful diffused light at my last shoot from this Skylite. Dig it!

We used this kit for one shoot and it slightly rained for a couple minutes and we continued with the shoot. Shoot went well and we packed it back up into the carrying case. We just recently had another shoot and we whipped out this kit excited to use it again, but this time the diffuser material itself shrunk. I didnt know that this was even possible. After clipping one side, it was very difficult to clip the opposite side. And when we did the metal was bending. We decided that bending the metal slightly was worth it for getting the shot but then in the middle of filming the clips would loudly snap and detach. We had to cut and do extra takes for audio. The product was great. But since it got slightly wet. Its no longer usable.

I wanted to have a big diffuser screen since i long time but prices were too high and i didn't find a smart system till i found this. i have a velvet 2x2 feet Velvet led panel. quite big and this screen in from is great. its relatively easy to put together. i did it by myself and if you have a person to help its probably much faster and easier, but still on your own its not an issue. i read that someone wrote the plastic hooks are no good. this is not my experience at all, they are very tight and really snap in tightly. maybe over time the plastic starts to wear down but sofa my experience with them is really good. maybe lastolite improved them over time, i don't know. the only thing you have to know is that the big screen has a seam in the middle so if you want to use is as a background you need to do some work in post to make the seam invisible. but for my purposed the light was soooo much softer. i put the led on 100% and it gave a really nice soft light.
