Matthews 40 x 40' Kit with Bag

The 40 x 40" Kit with Bag from Matthews shaves 8" of each side of the popular 48 x 48" modifiers to make them more manageable in tight spaces and allow them to fit in nearly all " wagons" or SUVs. The kit includes a Black Flag,a Floppy Top Hinge, a Matthbounce Floppy, and an Artificial Silk. A zippered bag is also included for storage and transport.

Matthews Cutter - 40x40"

Cutters are square or rectangular frames with mounting pins attached. Used to control natural or artificial light. Can be used to protect the camera lens from flares, control spill light from other sources, or keep light from reaching an area on the set.

Newly designed 90° Cutter frames will make it possible to position the instrument over the top of the set wall or to use two or more units to create a box for better light control.

Matthews Floppy Top Hinge (40 x 40" )

The 4 x 4 line of Matthews silks, scrims, and flags have always been a popular item but just a tad large for travelhence the birth of the 40 x 40" FloppyTop Hinge. The larger 48 x 48" size requires a van or grip truck for traveling, whereas shaving 8" on all sides makes it more manageable in tight spaces and allows it to fit in nearly all " wagons" or SUVs.

Simply undo the touch fasteners at the corners, and the Top Hinge Floppy " flops" opens to become a large 40 x 80" black flag that creates a sort of open-sided tent to shade talent, the camera, etc. The frame is hollow steel tubing to cut down on weight, while the solid steel mounting rod can stand up to years of heavy use.

Matthews Matthbounce Floppy (40 x 40" )

The 40 x 40" Matthews Matthbounce Floppy is designed to be more manageable in tight spaces and can fit in nearly all " wagons" or SUVs. It features a black exterior, but once you undo the touch fasteners at the corners, the Matthbounce flops open to a large white reflector that allows a nice return and soft quality of light. The frame is made of hollow steel tubing to cut down on weight, while the solid steel mounting rod can stand up to years of heavy use.

Matthews White Artificial Silk Scrim (40 x 40" )

The 40 x 40" White Artificial Silk Scrim from Matthews softens and diffuses direct light while bouncing some of it to elevate the ambient light level. The silk has a solid frame made of stainless steel tubing, absorbs approximately 1.6 stops of light, and has gold webbing around its edges to make it easily identifiable.
