The 22 Beauty Reflector from Angler gets its name from the popularity of this light shaper with fashion and portrait photographers.
Recommended for strobes, the light source is bounced off of a centrally positioned deflector and directed to fill the neutral white reflector interior. The result is a signature soft dispersed look, but with crispness, ideal for hair and makeup, that you can t get from umbrellas and softboxes. An added feature is the natural-looking catchlights that appear in the subject s eyes. Optional accessories include a honeycomb grid to tunnel and direct the light output and a diffusion sock to soften it.

This 22 Diffuser Sock from Impact is a 22 nylon fabric light softener ringed with strong elastic for a snug fit around standard-sized light head reflectors. In addition, it is also ideal for use with 20 and 20.5 diffusers. This convenient diffuser softens light output by creating a larger light surface across the face of the reflector, bathing your subject in a diffuse light that s perfect for portrait or beauty photography and video. It installs in seconds, and is a handy way to quickly diffuse a light source, when setting up a softbox or using a handheld diffuser is impractical.
Diffuser Socks are stackable, offering the capability to increase the diffusion effect by adding additional socks over the first. Each layer of diffusion reduces light output by 1-stop.
