Godox AD-S60S Softbox for AD300Pro

I bought this for my Godox ML-60Bi. To me it's a great balance between light softness and portability. I do a lot of on location interviews, and this is a great key light modifier. Love the zipper on the side, makes mounting this on the light super easy. No complaints here!

There isn't anything wrong with this box per se. It is easy enough to use and the diffusers seem to work ok. It is also pretty well built if early indications hold up over time. The issue I have is the shape. I have used it a handful of times now and I just can't get it to cover the area I need it to cover easily. It is always leaving an edge and that is due to it's small size and odd shape. If I move it in to get a soft light the edge is generally pretty pronounced. If I move it back it can still leave an edge if I am not careful - but then the light becomes much more harsh. This would be fine as a rectangular or square box as I could align the edges a bit more evenly. I have adapted a much larger Bowens mount softbox to my AD300 Pro and have also used the AD-S85S and have great control. I will likely continue to use those and set this aside. I wouldn't complain but Godox has made so few modifiers with it's native mount that it is doubly disappointing that they chose to release this rather than look at alternative shapes.

I always thought the most expensive softbox is always the way to go, or the fastest to assemble. This comes in at such an amazing price point, assembles pretty fast, and fits directly onto my AD300 Pro with no adapters needed. In the future just to have a wider variety of modifiers I'll get the S-Bracket adapter for Bowen's but I don't have to anytime soon because this works just fine, saves time and produces great results.

Es pequeo, liviano, fcil de montar y desmontar, y fcil para guardar montado. Viene con los accesorios convencionales y adems un disco reflector de tela que lo convierten en algo muy parecido a un beauty dish. Todo cabe en una bolsa corta y liviana. Mi estudio es chico. Soy un aficionado y lo uso para algunos still life no muy grandes para los que el AD300Pro cumple ms que sobrado. Este modificador est bien fabricado, es liviano, la montura original Godox es eficiente y ajustada. Su valor es inversamente proporcional a su peso y su costo

Lightweight, sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to attach. Comes with it's own carrying bag, plus reflectors and a grid (yes, all included in this ridiculously low priced light modifier). What more can you ask? I love it.
