The very large surface area of the softbox makes it a candidate for single light shooting and gives its output a wraparound quality and a painterly look especially when used close up. Another benefit is the reflection of natural-looking catchlights in your subject`s eyes. As indicated in the name, the softbox has a basic ring to hold it together, but instead of full speed rings, 13 "inserts" are available and are required for a speedlight or specific brand of strobe.
