Impact Deluxe Umbrella Mount with Adjustable Shoe

A useful and versatile addition to any lighting kit, the Deluxe Umbrella Mount with Adjustable Shoe from Impact is designed to maximize the utility of small lights or shoe-mount flashes while the mount has a socket that can support umbrellas up to 60" in diameter.

Able to tilt 180 degrees and swivel 360 degrees, the anodized black aluminum Umbrella Mount can be installed on any industry-standard light stand with a 5/8" top stud from either end of the mount. Additional 5/8" holes are tapped into to unit to allow you to mount it vertically or horizontally for maximum versatility. The Deluxe Umbrella Mount includes removable 3/8" -16 and 1/4" -20 brass stud adapters to support accessories. One of them, for example, fastens a cold shoe with a knurled locking knob for a secure connection to your flash.

Impact 45" Convertible Umbrella (White Satin with Removable Black Backing)

This is an Impact 45" Convertible umbrella with white satin and removable black backing. Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a softbox.

Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.

This size is perfect for a 1 - 2 person half-length portrait, or a 3x4 ft product setup.

Backing may be removed half way, providing a unique combination of light bounced from different surfaces.
