Useful for when you are shooting full length portraits or groups, the 65" X-Large Deep Silver Umbrella from Impact is a unique light shaping tool with a deeper than normal profile. The exaggerated depth makes for a narrower beam than a standard umbrella, while still retaining some of an umbrella s wrap around qualities. Additional control can be achieved by fine-tuning the " focus" of the beam by varying the flash head s position along the umbrella s shaft. The 16-rib design, coupled with the reflective silver interior, results in a crisp even beam at all head positions. The umbrella features an improved finger-friendly locking mechanism for secure and fast set up and break down.

I like umbrellas for their portability, and I needed a big one for soft light. This is great! Feels pretty durable, too. Not like a cheap flimsy one you get on Amazon. I definitely recommend Impact umbrellas!

The button that keeps the umbrella open started failing after the 3rd use. I have now used it less than 5 times and can barely keep it open at all. The worst and most dangerous aspect of it is that it snaps shuts so fast and forcefully it almost destroyed my flash twice and injured people (luckily I was standing next to it and able to catch it).

This 65-inch umbrella is my next step up from a 42-inch octabox. Wow, it is a big step! I love the soft light it generates when combined with a single front diffuser. I use a Godox AD-200 with the bare bulb attached. Plenty of power for portraits at f5.6 and lower (using native ISO and minimal shutter speeds). Lightweight and decent build quality, but only for use inside, as the slightest breeze will take down large umbrellas. Everyone is awed at the large size, yet it breaks down into a compact unit for storage.
