This Boom, for what it costs, it exceeded my expectations. And with the low cost, it still comes included with a sandbag, and the packaging this comes with is SUPERB. There is a nice, white and thick, soft foam inside the box, with all components separate. Nothing touches or rubs inside. Wow. Wait until you see for yourself when you receive the item. To ME, that's important. The C Stand is as good as any other C stand I have. What I like the most out of the whole thing is the BOOM. The boom is solid, everything feels great to touch and locking it in place gives me a sense of safety and peace of mind. WARNING: If this the first time you have ever had a professional grade Boom, make sure you balance the Boom to its center gravity, and THEN, you add sandbags on the C Stand legs. The C Stand and the Boom do everything I need for professional use and it can take some abuse as well. I'm very pleased with it. The only CON I see are: 1- The part that mounts the Boom to the C Stand, it is similar to what an LED light fixture mount has, just enough to sit in. What I want to see them improving is to make a mount that will sit on the C Stand receiving pin entirely, like my other Booms do. 2- I wish it came with a transport bag. The Pin that attach the Cross arm Boom to the C stand column even you really tied it I will not stop the column to spin so I don't recommend the cross arm boom that was the primary reason I both this set. But I'm really disappointed. The c Stand is fine They need to fix the Cross arm attachment pin with a bigger lock and screw size. So I'm returning this one.

Ordered two, they arrived in excellent condition. Packaging was superb. Easy to setup. Heavy and sturdy stand, and the extendable boom is on pint. Needed something heavy duty to hold up and protect my FJ400's. Other stands just didn't give me the warm and fuzzy that they wouldn't too over at the slightest breeze. Super Sturdy, came with a counter balance sand bag for extendable boom. Although some tools are needed you can probably remove the boom from the grip head and use it to hand hold a strobe on location, their that beefy and sturdy. Highly recommend. Weighs 26 lbs. The stand is rated for up to 44 lbs. and the boom is rated for up to 11 pounds when properly counter balanced.

This is a very sturdy and solidly built stand. I am really impressed and glad I went with this stand. I am using it to mount and overhead camera.
