This thing is built to last. Everything is incredibly sturdy, its big and heavy which helps give it stability, and the baby pin pop up gives it more versatility. Stands arent a fun item to buy but the quality makes it a joy to use.

I teach high school photography. I was looking for a heavy duty light stand with a wide base (so it wouldn't get knocked over like normal flimsy stands and would last forever), and wheels to make it easily adjustable and portable throughout the school. I went for the Low Boy because I wanted the lowest height possible. If anything, it's TOO wide at the base, and TOO thick and sturdy (and the caster wheels are large). I have a couple Hollywood Baby Jr. Riser stands and they work perfect, and I put a sandbag on them too. Good luck knocking them over! I'd suggest the Hollywood instead - I use Westcott Spiderlite 6's which are pretty heavy with a softbox. Unless you have some really massive things to hold up, or just want something supersturdy, in which case this stand is great. Note: I thought I was missing the 5/8 bar to attach my lights, it's hidden at the top in a pop-up.
