RPS Lighting Triple Flash/Umbrella Mount

This three light mount has a nice equally spaced pattern but I found that it is not really equipped with a sufficient clamp to secure to the umbrella rod. The weight of two lights settle to the bottom and counter balance the single on top but the unit can still be spun around the rod like a top. If you over tighten to secure it then you risk crushing the rod forcing it into an out of round shape and possibly causing more problems with removing and mounting onto umbrella stands and holders. Personally I would recommend spending money on a strobe light if require more than a single speed light very often. Nice concept and it works but not to my satisfaction. Also a nice strobe is no more extra to carry than three speed lights and is less difficult to set up. It is however about half the price for inexpensive speed lights verses a low end strobe of say 400 watts. Weigh the cost and convenience before half stepping if you need light power.
