It is quite possible that I overuse grip heads. Wait, is grip head overuse even a thing? Well, I use them everywhere, even when less reliable and professional solutions would likely suffice ... precisely because these are reliable and professional. They stay in place. They do what you want them to do. Now gimme more grip heads! I can't get enough of these things. The big handle is amazing. The small handle is okay.

The build quality of this grip is very good and these with last for many years. I was using three tripods for a three camera video switcher recording setup of high school plays and musicals but didn't like not having each camera within reach for adjustments. I bought a Neewer ball head bar and developed this setup. Now all three cameras and the monitor are located within reach. I needed two of these grips to stabilize my horizontal bar attached to the tripod with the diagonal bar. I found diameter rod that fit in the fixed slot from a section of round curtain rod. I drilled a hole in the Neewer bar so the upper grip was centered. From the place where I am recording in my auditorium I put one camera for the full stage wide view on the left ball head with a 35mm lens, a camera with an 85mm lens on the next ball head for a midrange distance view and pan with it to follow action, the third camera is atop the fluid head with a handycam zoom for closeups and a monitor on the right ball head. The video switcher is attached on the front of tripod. Now the setup is stabilized and everything is within reach for a one man operation.
