Yongnuo RF-603N II Wireless Flash Trigger Kit for Nikon DC2 Connection

I think this is well worth the price. It works really well. It takes 4 double AA batteries all together. The remote works very well for along distance and you do not even have to put it on the camera remote setting to get the remote to work. You can just click it and it can take photos. It even lights up green or red to tell you if you can take a photo or can not take a photo.

The only complaint is that the instructions were not very helpful as far as setting it up with my flash. About 10 minutes of changing settings around and everything was working great.

Used to trigger by off camera flash. Had a few configuration problems before I got them to work but only minor, thanks to YouTube. I use them with my Nikon D500 DSLR and my Nikon SB700 speed light with no problems.

I bought 3 sets for 6 total. The DC2 connection is correct for both my D3100 and D610. BUT, since I ordered 3 sets, I should have ordered a set with a different Nikon shutter cable, for flexibility. My first usage was with my D610 and the following flashes: SB-700, SB-16, SB-15, Insignia flash for Nikon, and an old Vivitar 283 with a 240 volt sync. (Somewhere on the web I found an Oriental discussing the updates in the II version compared with the I version, and he claimed the II version can now do high voltage sync. So far, the trigger I marked for sole usage with the Vivitar 283 has shown no evidence of failure.) After following setup directions, there was only minimal issues with getting all the flashes to fire, and the D610 shutter to trip remotely. The only exception, was the Vivitar 283 which did not want to fire in the trigger's hot shoe. However, noticing the sync cable dangling from the 283, I decided to plug it into the sync port on the trigger - and now the 283 has been firing just fine. One concern I had was whether I could still use my Minolta Spotmeter F to obtain individual flash readings; with flashes connected via Nikon AS-10s and SC-19s, this was possible via the sync connectors on the SB-15 & SB-16. I found that if I plugged the Spotmeter into the SB-16, ran an SC-19 from the SB-16 to an AS-10, and put a trigger in the AS-10 hotshoe, the AS-10's trigger would set off other active triggers. By turning off flashes, I could measure individual flashes as I was hoping! I concur that if you are not careful, you can easily turn on these triggers without knowing it. However, they are packed in individual protective bags. If you return the trigger into the bag, oriented such that if the power switch snags on the bag, it will turn the trigger off, then I suspect you will have problem-free transports. These triggers sure beat all the cables! And if you are trying to use flashes that you will never be able to control the power of from the camera, these triggers seem to be a great way to go. (I am using custom-cut Norman ND filter sheets to control flash power of the old flashes.)

These mostly work well. There was some confusion for a while about which mode to set each of them to, but now I just set them both to TRX for everything, ignoring the TX setting completely, and that seems to work. I took a star off because after half a year, the range seems to have diminished. I typically hold my speedlight with a snoot like a shotgun and trigger the camera with the Yongnuo button, and sometimes I have to adjust the angle of the device for it to get a clear signal to its counterpart on the camera. And that's from only a few feet away.

I use these daily and they have yet to let me down. They add a whole new aspect to my hobby and the price was right.

Unit works absolutely fine. I used it to trigger my Flash off the camera. Setup is simple and easy to use. However title is bit misleading. Nikon newer camera's have 10pin round connector for shutter release. Cable which comes with this is not the same so it wont plug into your new Nikon camera. I have Nikon D810 and the cable does not plug in (hence 4 star).
