ORANGEMONKIE Foldio360 Smart Turntable for 360 Images

Bought this Smart Turntable for a process I do called Photoscanning. Basically take a bunch of photos all around an object to create a 3D model. This turntable helps a lot as I do not have to worry about moving the turntable for each row. A few things with this though keeping it from being a perfect device for the price: 1. No USB to plug into camera for taking the shots! This turntable relies on IR for telling the camera to shoot for each turn. This works on my A7rIII but when using a ring light on the camera, which I do, the light blocks the IR sensor enough that it does not work for most of the shots. So I have to manually shoot each shot for each turn. Why does it not have a USB, 3.5m or PC port that I can plug into my camera or at the very least a IR extender adapter? Really just this would make this turntable 5 stars. 2. An ability to pause the rotation process in the application. On the software side of things so is able to be added. Would be great to have the ability to pause a rotation process while it is going and then resume to continue and finish the rest of the turns. Even the ability to pause to go back a turn. Would be handy for missed shots or issues with the subject during a set shoot. 3. More of an issue with the device itself but sometimes the motor just has trouble turning. Not sure the cause as sometimes it is just with a cloth on it and it will struggle to do a turn and I give it a light thud and it works again. Tells me the lifespan on it is not going to be great. All in all this turntable is much better for my shooting process then a normal turntable, but because of the IR requirement I am not able to take full advantage of it. Still worth getting though if you need an affordable smart turntable.

We use this for our photography and it saves us a step (clean background). The product images come out just perfect. Our product photos look very, very professional.
