Godox LST80 Light Tent (31.5 x 31.5 x 31.5')

I got this tent for taking product photography. It has worked great for getting some solid pictures for my Amazon listings. Great setup for anyone that isn't ready to get into a crazy setup or spend a bunch. Overall not bad for a novice or someone with intermediate skills doing product photography.

It's amazing how much solid construction can be packed into a small bag that could even easily fit in a large suitcase. This is not a flimsy lightbox like so many others I have set up. It provides brilliant, controllable light resulting in some fine phtoos. There were two problems, one surmountable, the other not: Assembly instructions are terrible and markedly inadequate. I would gladly have paid an additional .0.05 to add some pages to the tiny instruction pamphlet. Fortunately, a couple YouTube videos helped circumvent the disappointing instructions. The other problem is the inadequate mechanism for holding the background roll in place. With everything else so solid, why should I have to use tape to help the supplied clamp hold onto the background. That will make disassembly and reassembly a continuing problem. The manufacturers must have been aware of this and their having done nothing to rectify it is disappointing. Furthermore, the supplied black background is far too reflective resulting in a photograph showing a gray, not black background. Otherwise, I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought this for the size and 3 lights. The instructions are bad because most items aren't clear on how or when to attach them. Through some trial and error, I was able to get most of it together. There is a diffuser that hooks over the four posts, but the problem is that when doing there you can't remove it easily for shooting through the top of the tent. All in all it is a good product, just needs better instructions.

I was a little scared with the size, I didn't have much idea of the measurements when I bought it (My mistake) it's worth browsing smaller versions, they are as good as this one. The dimmer control is very good, it does its job well. The LED strips heat up a bit, but that's normal. The reflective material helps a lot to compose the light to capture the material. It's portable, so if you have more demanding client that want to direct the session, you are going to be able to bring the whole setup to them.

Good for e-commerce. It size, allows me to put objects up to 50cm without problem. Not as easy to assemble as other light boxes. The quality of the materials is good and the three led lights illuminate very well. The only thing I would have liked was a longer cable length in the light controller and grippers of greater grip for the endless bottom.
