Angler Port-a-Cube LED Light Tent with Dimmer II (17')

I often photograph bowl-shaped vessels. It's easy to get light inside the bowl, but more difficult to get light on the shaded underside of the bowl. This tent solved that problem with light that is remarkably well disbursed.

I like it and have been using it for about a week now but when I first got it the flip up window pulled right off so I had to sew it back on.

LIKE: Easy to assemble and disassemble, with efficient packaging (even fits back into the original box for storage) Good lighting with a moderate amount of control Versatile having 2 windows DISLIKE: The diffusers. First, one has already torn after 3 uses where the Velcro attaches due to poor stitching. The one with the hole (for using the top window) is so narrow, I couldn't get my Nikon 72mm filter diameter through the hole without a lot of fighting. Even my 58mm lens is a tough fit. Hole needs to be bigger (with perhaps adjustable elastic). The backgrounds. I like that they include several colors, but the plastic material is an absolute dust and hair magnet. Unless you're shooting in an ISO 6 cleanroom, be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to remove the crud from it, and/or removing in post production via PS. I think it's probably a bigger problem when the indoor humidity is lower so it might not be a problem where you live. Both of those issues could be fixed with some redesign (and likely a bit more cost), but I'd be willing to spend more for the improvements. Still, I'm able to get decent photos with it, and that's why it gets 4 stars.

Initially i purchased the biggest they have, but unfortunately i lost the ac adapter, so i bought this one as a replacement, as ac costs almost as much as the whole unit. I love the product. It's a genius idea, and i am very happy with the photo results i get from it.

This was a huge upgrade from the Polaroid box light set. The built in lights make the setup extremely simple. Highly recommended!

I bought this for product presentations. The size is great for various sizes, lighting has necessary controls and it comes with a couple different backdrops. It does what it's designed to do!!

This was great for some objects, namely those without any type of reflective surface. However, any reflective objects such as items with glass or shiny metal could not be photographed well, due to the design of this light box with its multiple, small, individual LED lights which reflected horribly off the objects. This was despite using the included diffuser panels. I actually therefore decided I had to return this item, and will search for a light cube tent with a different design.
